Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has once again been seen violating the rules and established conventions of the Parliament today. Mr Goyal said that the Speaker granted him the opportunity to speak on the reported LPG shortage issue. The Minister said that Mr Gandhi did not follow the rules and attempted to introduce unrelated and baseless issues.

Mr Goyal said that such conduct of the LoP only serves to disrupt the proceedings and raise matters that can unnecessarily tarnish the image of the country. He also said that the clarification of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister has clearly conveyed that the situation regarding the LPG shortage is under control.
