PM Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla extends greetings on Baisakhi & regional New Year festivals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to countrymen on the occasion of Baisakhi.  In a social media post, PM Modi said that the vibrant festival marks the spirit of gratitude, renewal and hope, celebrating the hard work of farmers whose dedication keeps the nation fed.
 
He noted that Baisakhi also carries deep spiritual significance, marking the founding of the Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. PM Modi said that the teachings of the revered Sikh Gurus continue to inspire all in the collective effort to build a better society. He wished that this festival bring happiness, prosperity and fresh energy in everyone’s lives.
 
The Prime Minister also greeted people on the occasion of Tamil New Year Puthandu. He prayed for a year filled with happiness, success and good health. He noted that the day is an occasion to honour the greatness of Tamil culture, its rich heritage of literature, music, art, philosophy and devotion continues to inspire people across the world.
 
On the occasion of Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti, Odia New Year, the Prime Minister shared his best wishes, noting that the occasion reflects the rich tradition of Odisha. Praying for a year filled with unlimited opportunities and successes, PM Modi wished that the day bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all,  deepening the spirit of togetherness .
 

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla extended greetings to the citizens on the occasions of Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu, Meshadi Puthandu (Tamil New Year), Vishu (Kerala New Year), Pana Sankranti (Odia New Year) and Cheiraoba. In a social media post, he said that these vibrant festivals reflect the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat’ and strengthen the bond of unity in the country’s rich diversity. He wished that these joyous occasions bring peace, prosperity and renewed hope to every home.
