J&K: Rajouri to get first 100-bedded boys’ hostel under Samagra Shiksha Scheme

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Rajouri district is set to receive its first-ever 100-bedded boys’ hostel under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme for students belonging to the Line of Control (LoC) and remote border areas. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the hostel, being constructed at a cost of 2.45 crore rupees, aims to provide better educational facilities and residential support to students from far-flung villages who face challenges in accessing quality education due to distance and difficult terrain.

The facility will offer free boarding and lodging along with modern educational support to ensure a better learning environment for students from border areas. Authorities said that the hostel will be equipped with the necessary infrastructure and amenities to support the academic and overall development of the students. The initiative is being viewed as a significant step towards improving educational access and strengthening support for students living in border and remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
