In Jammu and Kashmir, the budget session of the Legislative Assembly will begin today with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s address to the House. The discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the LG’s Address will take place on February 3, 4, and 5. It will conclude on February 5 with the Chief Minister’s reply. The budget of the J&K Union Territory for 2026-27 will be presented by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on February 6. Subsequently, there will be a discussion on the budget, and demands for grants will be presented by different departments.
