Indian stock markets remained closed today in observance of Maharashtra Day. Trading in equities, equity derivatives, securities lending and borrowing, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives was shut for the day on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, trading in the commodities segment remained closed during the morning session. However, it will resume in the evening session at 5 pm. In the global crude oil market, Brent Crude was trading over 0.9 per cent up at 111 US dollars and 44 cents per barrel, while WTI Crude was also trading 0.4 per cent up at 105 US dollars and 51 cents per barrel in intraday trade.
