The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today. The IMD also predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Northeast India including Bihar, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

The weather agency also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, West Bengal and Sikkim.
