IMD issues yellow alert for heatwave conditions in Delhi till May 25

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions in the national capital till 25th May. Isolated parts of New Delhi are likely to experience intense heat during the day, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius today.

The minimum temperature is likely to hover between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature in the national capital ranged between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius at different locations, while the minimum temperature remained around 27 to 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD, the Ridge area station recorded 44.6 degrees Celsius yesterday. Safdarjung Observatory recorded 43.4 degrees Celsius, Lodhi Road Weather Station registered 43.8 degrees Celsius, Ayanagar Weather Station recorded 44.4 degrees Celsius, while Palam Weather Station registered 43.5 degrees Celsius.
