The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2025) dawned on Goa with unparalleled grandeur, as the opening parade transformed the city’s streets into a riot of colors and lights.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju, MoS I&B Dr. L Murugan flagged off the majestic spectacle.
Prominent film personalities like Muzaffar Ali, Festival Director Shekhar Kapur, Actor Anupam Kher, N Balakrishna, filmmaker Om Prakash Mehra among others graced the stage.

Larger-than-life cutouts of legendary actor and filmmakers and props towered above the crowds, highlighting India’s iconic films and legendary actors. The air was alive with the rhythm of music and pulsating drumbeats.
Renowned actors, filmmakers, and industry professionals, who attended the opening of the grand parade, added glitz to the already dazzling atmosphere.
Actor N Balakrishna was felicitated for his contribution to Indian Cinema through 50 glorious years.
