Union Home Minister Amit Shah has lauded the Government’s decision of increasing 2 percent Dearness Allowance for central employees and Dearness Relief for pensioners. In a social media post, he said that this increase, with effect from January 1st, this year, symbolises the government’s commitment to the financial security of employees and their families.
Mr Shah further noted that the Union Cabinet has also approved the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III at a cost of 83 thousand 977 crore rupees. He added that the initiative prioritises connecting rural agricultural markets (GrAMs), schools, and hospitals with improved connectivity. Mr Shah highlighted that as a result of the decision, the rural economy will be strengthened, increasing employment opportunities and making transportation more convenient.
