The High Commission of India in Colombo on Saturday organised an exhibition in Colombo to mark one year of Operation Sindoor, showcasing images of key terrorist infrastructure destroyed during the operation launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack targeting Indian civilians.
The exhibition, held at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo, was inaugurated by Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha in the presence of dignitaries, officials, members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India.
The imagery reflected the “decisive, measured and precise” nature of the mission, which served justice for the “dastardly terrorist attack” in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Members of Indian Diaspora and Leaders representing the Indian Origin Tamil (IOT) community in Sri Lanka also attended the inauguration ceremony.
A documentary titled “One Year of Operation Sindoor”, produced by the Ministry of Defence, was also screened during the event. Visitors to the exhibition reiterated their resolve against terrorism and paid tribute to the valour of the Indian armed forces.
Operation Sindoor was launched by Indian security forces following the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which had drawn “global” condemnation.
