Greece’s Stefanos Sakellaridis lifts Delhi Open 2026 singles title

In tennis, Greece’s Stefanos Sakellaridis lifted the Delhi Open 2026 men’s singles title after defeating Great Britain’s Oliver Crawford in the final yesterday. The 21-year-old clinched his maiden ATP Challenger Tour singles crown with a 7-5, 5-6, 7-6 victory. Staging a remarkable comeback in the deciding set, he won the final tie-break 8-6 on his second match point.

In the doubles event, India’s Siddhant Banthia and Bulgaria’s Alexander Donski claimed the title on Saturday, defeating India’s Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha and Thailand’s Pruchya Isaro in the final. This marks the third time an Indian player has lifted the Delhi Open doubles trophy. Saketh Myneni and Sanam Singh won the title in 2015, while Yuki Bhambri and Mahesh Bhupathi triumphed in 2016. Somdev Devvarman remains the only Indian to win the singles crown, securing back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015.
