French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that a French soldier was killed and three others were injured in an attack targeting UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.
In a statement shared on social media, Macron said that France is demanding Lebanese authorities to immediately arrest those responsible and uphold their obligations alongside the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
He also confirmed that three other soldiers were also injured in the attack and have since been evacuated.
