Durand Cup Society reviews preparations for 135th edition of tournament

The Annual General Body Meeting of the Durand Football Tournament Society was successfully conducted in New Delhi. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan presided over the meeting. It deliberated on key organisational, administrative, and operational aspects concerning the forthcoming 135th edition of the Durand Cup.

They reviewed the conduct of previous editions and discussed measures to further enhance the scale, competitiveness, and outreach of the tournament. The 135th edition of the Durand Cup is expected to build upon its rich heritage and continue to serve as a vital platform for emerging talent as well as established clubs.
 
In his address, General Chauhan highlighted the significance of the Durand Cup in promoting football in India and reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ continued commitment to nurturing sporting excellence and fostering national integration through sports.
