Delegate registrations for the 19th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF), one of South Asia’s premier festivals dedicated to documentary, short fiction and animation films, have opened ahead of the event scheduled to be held in Mumbai from June 15 to 21. The festival will be held at the NFDC premises on Pedder Road and is regarded as one of South Asia’s oldest and most prestigious festivals dedicated to documentary, short fiction and animation films. Delegates can register online through the festival’s official portal by paying a registration fee of 500 rupees, while student registrations will remain free after verification of documents. Established in 1990 as the Bombay International Film Festival, MIFF has evolved into a major platform for Indian and international non-feature filmmakers. The upcoming edition will feature Indian and international competition sections, Golden and Silver Conch Awards and cash prizes worth 55 lakh rupees. The festival will also include curated screenings, restored classics, wildlife films, student films, AI and new media films, besides master classes, panel discussions and red carpet events. Organisers said, the 2026 edition will also introduce an “Immersive Market” under the Waves Doc Bazaar platform for creators working in VR, AR, XR and interactive storytelling formats.
