In Chhattisgarh, the self-enumeration process under Census 2027 commenced today and will continue till the 30th of April. During this period, citizens can enter details related to their families and houses through the designated online portal. Families completing self-enumeration will be provided with a unique identification number, which must be kept safe and shared with enumerators later.

 

The house listing and housing census will be carried out across the state from the 1st to the 30th of May. Information regarding residential and non-residential buildings, their condition, usage, and available amenities will be collected. Citizens will be asked a total of thirty-three questions during this exercise.

 

Around sixty-two thousand five hundred officials and employees have been deployed for the census work in the state. The second phase of the Census will begin in February next year.
