Union Minister Piyush Goyal Says India Achieves Record 860 Billion Dollar Exports in FY 2025-26

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that India has achieved record exports of 860 billion US dollars in the financial year 2025-26. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that the milestone, achieved despite global headwinds, reflects the country’s resilience and its growing strength in expanding its global trading footprint.

The Minister said that the nine trade agreements concluded under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are further accelerating this momentum, opening new markets and unlocking greater opportunities across sectors. He added that the Government’s efforts to boost ease of doing business and create a business and investor-friendly environment will continue to power this growth, strengthening the country’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat.
Meanwhile, ASSOCHAM President Nirmal Minda has hailed the achievement and said that it reflects the country’s strong resilience amid severe global headwinds.

Mr Minda said the robust performance, led by services exports and supported by key sectors such as engineering and electronics, supports India’s growing global competitiveness. He said the milestone highlights effective policy support and industry efforts, reinforcing confidence in the country’s export growth trajectory and its expanding presence across diversified global markets. He expressed hope that India’s exports will surpass one trillion US dollars in the current financial year 2026-27, driven by India’s increasing competitiveness in global markets.
