Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu thanked the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for approving the Rajahmundry (Nidadavolu) – Visakhapatnam (Duvvada) 3rd and 4th railway line projects. He said the project, which includes a 4.3 km rail bridge over the Godavari River, will help ease congestion and reduce travel time.
Mr Naidu stated that the project will improve regional connectivity, benefit passengers, and boost freight movement. He added that it will enhance access to key spiritual destinations such as Annavaram, Antarvedi and Draksharamam, while also supporting industrial growth and port-led development. The Chief Minister described the project as a step toward achieving “Swarna Andhra” and a “Viksit Bharat”.
