CAS Amar Preet Singh flies operational formation sortie on Mikoyan MiG-29UPG

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, was briefed on an Air Squadron’s operational role & readiness and the enhanced capabilities of the MiG-29 UPG platform during his visit at a forward airbase, somewhere in the Western Sector, today. His visit underscores the Indian Air Force’s operational preparedness amidst the dynamic geopolitical scenario. The CAS also flew an operational formation sortie on the Mikoyan MiG-29UPG.
 
During the visit, the Air Warriors of the base, who were maintaining a high state of operational readiness, actively participated in flying-related activities during his visit.
 
The squadron is set to complete 63 years since its induction in 1963, reflecting a long and distinguished history of service in safeguarding the nation’s skies.
 
Besides veterans, he also interacted with aircrew, technicians and ground personnel, acknowledging the critical role played by them in ensuring the sustained operational readiness of combat platforms.
