Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital in Gujarat this morning and met those injured in Air India plane crash which claimed lives of 241 people. Later, in a social media post, the Prime Minister said, the country is devastated by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. He said, the loss of so many lives in such a sudden and heartbreaking manner is beyond words. He extended condolences to the bereaved families.
श्री मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार उनके दर्द को समझती है और यह भी जानती है कि उनके पीछे जो खालीपन रह गया है, उसे आने वाले कई वर्षों तक महसूस किया जाएगा। प्रधानमंत्री ने एयर इंडिया विमान दुर्घटना में जीवित बचे एकमात्र व्यक्ति विश्वाश कुमार रमेश से भी मुलाकात की, जो भारतीय मूल के ब्रिटिश नागरिक हैं और वर्तमान में स्थानीय अस्पताल में उनका इलाज चल रहा है। बाद में श्री रमेश ने अपने साथ हुए विनाशकारी अनुभव को साझा किया और बताया कि वे कैसे बच गए।
Mr Modi also visited the plane crash site and said the scene of devastation is saddening. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said, he met officials and teams working tirelessly in the aftermath. Mr Modi said, his thoughts remain with those who lost their loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy.

When fate takes a sharp, tragic turn, even the smallest twist of chance can mean the difference between life and death. This was witnessed in yesterday’s tragic mishap. We have a report:
“Bhoomi Chauhan, a resident of Bharuch in Gujarat, became one of the few spared by such a twist. She missed Air India Flight which crashed yesterday. Bhoomi’s story, and those of a handful of others who were meant to be on that doomed flight, are haunting reminders of how close they came to sharing the same fate-and how thin the line between tragedy and survival can be. Ms Bhoomi shared that, she arrived at the check-in gate ten minutes late due to traffic in Ahmedabad and was not allowed to board the plane.
However, others were not so lucky. For many, it was meant to be the start of something joyful. A doctor couple, full of hope, were beginning a new chapter as a family in the UK – their dreams would end in tragedy on this very flight. A 35-year-old woman was returning to the UK after leaving her daughter with her parents in Vadodara – she would never make it home. Two sisters, excited for their vacation in London, boarded with smiles that would never see another day. They all boarded the flight unaware that this takeoff had no landing. While numbers vary, it is estimated that in North America and Europe 1 in every seventeen thousand to twenty thousand people have some form of albinism. The condition is much more prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa, with estimates of 1 in one thousand four hundred people being affected in Tanzania and prevalence as high as 1 in one thousand people reported for select populations in Zimbabwe and for other specific ethnic groups in Southern Africa.

“The Kerala State Health Minister Veena George last week unveiled a revised menu for anganwadi children in the state.The new menu offers more delicious, diverse and nutritious meals, aiming to improve children’s health by reducing sugar and salt while increasing protein-rich contents.The Minister said that for the first time, a unified menu will be implemented in the state. The revised menu covers breakfast, lunch and general feeding, featuring a variety of dishes ranging from egg biriyani, pulav and dal payasam to soya dry curry, and nutri laddu on different working days. Additionally, milk and eggs, which were previously served twice a week, will now be provided thrice a week . …The menu also provides information on the ingredients as well as the nutritional values for each dish.The ”Model Food Menu” was unveiled during the state-level inauguration of the Anganwadi reopening event in PathanamthittaEarlier this year, Veena George had assured to revise the menu after a video of a child named Shanku requesting biryani and chicken fry, instead of upma at an Anganwadi, went viral on social media. आज भारत के जाबाज सैनिक मेजर विवेक गुप्ता की पुण्यतिथि है। करगिल युद्ध के दौरान 13 जून, 1999 को तोलोलिंग टॉप में दुश्मन के ठिकानों पर शुरुआती हमले में मेजर विवेक गुप्ता को अपनी कंपनी का नेतृत्व करने का मौका दिया गया। इस दौरान उन्होंने अदम्य साहस व पराक्रम का परिचय दिया। युद्ध के दौरान उन्हें दो गोलियां लगीं, लेकिन उन्होंने फिर भी दुश्मनों पर हमला जारी रखा। आमने-सामने की लड़ाई में उन्होंने दुश्मन के तीन सैनिक मारे गिराये, लेकिन वह इस बीच दुश्मनों के हमले में वीर गति को प्राप्त हो गए। विवेक गुप्ता की वीरता के चलते ही भारत ने तोलोलोंग टॉप पर विजय प्राप्त की थी। मेजर विवेक गुप्ता को उनकी वीरता के लिए मरणोपरांत ‘महावीर चक्र’ से सम्मानित किया गया।
