Hindi teachers from Sri Lankan government schools will undergo training in India under a special programme at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra for the first time. Organised by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Colombo, in collaboration with KHS, this is the first-ever training initiative in India for Hindi teachers from government schools in Sri Lanka. Currently, 88 schools across Sri Lanka offer Hindi as a subject, and the teachers were nominated by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education. The training also includes visits to Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Fatehpur Sikri.

Amid chants of “Bum Bum Bhole” and “Har Har Mahadev”, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from the Yatri Niwas base camp in Bhagwati Nagar early this morning. A tolal of 5892 pilgrims left for valley of which 2489 shall perform yatra via Baltal route whereas 3403 will follow the longer Anantnag route to reach the holy cave.
The 38-day yatra to the 3,880-metre-high Amarnath shrine shall formally begin tomorrow ie July 3 via both the routes routes – the traditional 48-kilometre Nunwan-Pahalgam track in Anantnag and the shorter but steeper 14-kilometre Baltal route in Ganderbal. The pilgrimage will conclude on Shravan Poornima that is Raksha Bandhan that falls on August 9 this year. The pilgrims are being escorted by a robust security convoy along the 270-km Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) to ensure their safety. More than 3.31 lakh devotees have already registered for this year’s yatra so far whereas On-the-spot registration has also begun at Jammu, with nearly 4,000 tokens distributed over the last two days. Authorities have implemented a robust security plan with a multi-tiered grid, CCTV surveillance, and daily traffic advisories. The Security Wing of J&K Police has taken charge of the Bhagwati Nagar base camp, while CRPF is managing perimeter security. Traffic restrictions will remain in place along the Jammu-Srinagar highway from July 2 to August 9, with designated cut-off timings and sector-wise monitoring. Jagmohan Sharma, Akashvani News, Jammu.

कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा 2025 के तीर्थयात्रियों का पहला जत्था सफलतापूर्वक यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद कल गंगटोक लौट गया। यह जत्था कल दोपहर लगभग बारह बजकर 45 मिनट पर पहुंचा। तीर्थयात्रियों को शेरेथांग ले जाया गया।
यात्रियों को सम्मानित करने के लिए शाम को सिक्किम पर्यटन विकास निगम-एसटीडीसी द्वारा एक औपचारिक प्रमाण-पत्र वितरण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। राज्य के अपर मुख्य सचिव सी.एस.राव ने आध्यात्मिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थयात्रा सफलतापूर्वक पूरी करने के लिए यात्रियों को बधाई दी।

Teghbir Singh, a six-year-old boy from Punjab, has set a new world record as the youngest mountaineer to scale Mount Elbrus. It is the highest mountain in Russia and Europe, standing at 5,642 metres. Mount Elbrus is also the tenth-most prominent peak in the world. Speaking to our Jalandhar correspondent, Teghbir said that he was determined to scale the mountain and succeeded in doing so.
In August 2024, Teghbir became the youngest Asian to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak on the African continent.

The monsoon is fully active in Himachal Pradesh, and the recent heavy rainfall, landslides, and cloudburst incidents have caused significant loss of life and property. So far, 51 people have died in rain-related incidents, over a hundred have been injured, and 21 people are still missing. Due to rainfall and landslides, hundreds of roads across the state are blocked, and drinking water and power supply have also been affected in several districts.
During the past 48 hours, heavy monsoon rains, landslides, and cloudbursts have caused extensive devastation in the state. Mandi district has been the worst affected due to cloudbursts and heavy rains, where five people have died and 15 are still missing. NDRF, SDRF, and administrative teams are actively engaged in relief and rescue operations. In the district, 24 houses and 12 cowsheds have also been damaged. Across the state, 406 roads are blocked for traffic due to heavy rains and landslides. In addition, 1,515 electricity transformers and 171 water supply schemes have also been affected. Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has written to the Minister of External Affairs Dr.S.Jaishankar to take appropriate diplomatic steps to secure the release of the Indian fishermen and their fishing vessels which were apprehended by the Srilankan authorities. In a letter to the Minister, he said that seven fishermen had set out to sea from the Rameswaram fishing harbour were apprehended by the Srilankan Navy alongwith their mechanised fishing boat yesterday.The Chief Minister told that this is the second such incident within two days and it’s been causing severe distress and uncertainty among the fishing community which has only recently resumed operations following the seasonal fishing ban. He noted that already 48 Indian fishermen are in Srilankan Custody.
The telecom regulatory authority of India released the results of the Independent Drive Test conducted in May 2025, covering Chennai city of Tamilnadu Licensed Service Areas. This assessment is part of TRAIs periodic quality of service audits, aimed at evaluating real time network performance. TGDeX is aimed at developing cross-domain AI solutions through collaboration between the State, startups, industry partners and research institutions. The platform will enable access to high quality data and collaborative tools for AI solution builders, the Emerging Technologies Wing of the State IT Department said. The AI-ready platform will also utilise the Open Data Telangana platform, which is the central repository of all the datasets of the State government that should be in the public domain.

दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय ने उन विद्यार्थियों के लिए परीक्षा का पुनर्निर्धारण किया है, जो ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान अपरिहार्य परिस्थितियों के कारण अपनी परीक्षा नहीं दे सके थे। विश्वविद्यालय के परीक्षा नियंत्रक प्रो. गुरप्रीत सिंह टुटेजा ने इस संबंध में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि 13, 14 और 15 मई को कई विद्यार्थियों की परीक्षा छूट गई थी। विश्वविद्यालय ने इन विद्यार्थियों को एक विशेष अवसर प्रदान किया है ताकि वे अपनी परीक्षा फिर से दे सकें। इसके लिए विद्यार्थियों को एक गूगल फॉर्म भरना होगा, जिसे 10 जुलाई तक जमा करना अनिवार्य है।

दिल्ली पुलिस ने शहर के शालीमार बाग इलाके से पांच ट्रांसजेंडर सहित सात अवैध बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को पकड़ा है। पुलिस के अनुसार इनके पास से तीन स्मार्ट फोन बरामद किए गए हैं। पुलिस ने बताया है कि इन मोबाइल फोन में भारत में प्रतिबंधित एक ऐप भी मिला है, जिसके जरिए ये लोग बांग्लादेश में अपने परिवार से बातचीत करते थे। पुलिस ने बताया कि एक निर्वासित बांग्लादेशी नागरिक जिसने भारत में दूसरी बार अवैध रूप से प्रवेश किया उसे फिर से गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय ने शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए इच्छुक छात्रों को बड़ी राहत देते हुए, स्नातक प्रवेश की समय सीमा बढ़ाने की घोषणा की है। प्रथम वर्ष के डिग्री कोर्स में प्रवेश की समय सीमा अब 10 जुलाई 2025 तक बढ़ा दी गई है। यह निर्णय राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति के कार्यान्वयन के हिस्से के रूप में आया है और इसका उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि सभी पात्र छात्रों को प्रवेश पाने का उचित अवसर मिले। यह विस्तार सभी संबद्ध, स्वायत्त और मान्यता प्राप्त कॉलेजों पर लागू होता है।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने महाराष्ट्र राज्य सड़क परिवहन निगम की बसों में 150 किलोमीटर से अधिक की यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को अग्रिम टिकट बुक करने पर 15 प्रतिशत किराए में छूट देने की पेशकश की है। यह योजना कल से परिवहन निगम से संबंधित सभी प्रकार की बसों पर लागू हो गई है। राज्य के परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सरनाईक ने परिवहन निगम के 77वें स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर इस निर्णय की घोषणा की।

पश्चिम बंगाल में टेलीमेडिसिन योजना ‘स्वास्थ्य लाभ’ ने एक नई उपचार सुविधा शुरू की है। मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने कहा है कि इस सुविधा से 30% अधिक मरीज़ जुड़ चुके हैं। पूरे राज्य में 10 हज़ार से ज़्यादा स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों पर टेलीमेडिसिन सुविधा चलाई जा रही है। इससे ग्रामीण इलाकों में रहने वाले लोगों को भी सेवा मिल रही है।

The idea holds habitual conspiracist ideation. As, on June 24, 1947, a businessman Kenneth Arnold claimed to see a group of nine high-speed objects near Mount Rainier in Washington while flying in an airplane. He estimated the speed of the crescent-shaped objects as several thousand miles per hour and said they moved “like saucers skipping on water.” After the media covered the news they mistakenly mentioned objects as ‘saucer shape’. Due to this UFO’s during those times became popularly known as ‘flying saucers’ or ‘flying discs’. That day is marked as the first UFO sighting.
Another renowned incident that made the world curious about UFO’s was when a UFO had supposedly crashed in Rosewell, New Mexico. On July 2, 1947, a witness, William Brazel discovered unidentifiable scattered pieces on his which were some tinfoil, a rather tough paper, and sticks.

आज पुण्यतिथि है असित भट्टाचार्य की। वे भारत के महान क्रांतिकारियों में से एक थे। असित भट्टाचार्य प्रारंभ से ही क्रांतिकारी गतिविधियों से जुड़े हुए थे और क्रांति दल के सदस्य थे। 31 मार्च, 1933 को हबीबगंज में एक डकैती हुई, जिसमें असित भट्टाचार्य ने महत्वपूर्ण रूप से भाग लिया। इसके बाद उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और मौत की सजा सुनाई गई। 2 जुलाई, 1934 को सिलहट जेल में इस महान सपूत को फांसी पर लटका दिया गया।
