प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में अंतरराष्ट्रीय वायु परिवहन संघ -आईएटीए की 81वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक में भाग लेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री उपस्थित लोगों को संबोधित भी करेंगे। यह बैठक कल शुरू हुई और मंगलवार को संपन्न होगी। अंतरराष्ट्रीय वायु परिवहन शिखर सम्मेलन विमानन उद्योग के समक्ष आने वाले प्रमुख मुद्दों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा। इनमें एयरलाइन उद्योग की अर्थव्यवस्था, हवाई संपर्क, ऊर्जा सुरक्षा, सतत विमानन ईंधन उत्पादन, कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड उत्सर्जन कम करने के प्रयासों के लिए वित्तपोषण और नवाचार इत्यादि शामिल हैं। प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय के बयान में कहा गया है कि इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान दुनिया भर के नेता विमानन क्षेत्र में भारत की उल्लेखनीय प्रगति और देश के सामाजिक-आर्थिक विकास में योगदान के साक्षी बनेंगे। आईएटीए की पिछली वार्षिक आम बैठक 42 साल पहले 1983 में आयोजित हुई थी।

Paraguay President Santiago Peña Palacios will pay a three-day state visit to India beginning today. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Ministers, senior officials and business representatives. During the visit, both sides are expected to undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral ties.
President Peña will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today during which the two leaders will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations. He will also meet President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.
President Peña will also visit Mumbai, before returning to Paraguay on Wednesday.

India’s gross Goods and Services Tax, or GST, collection crossed the 2 lakh crore rupees mark for the second consecutive month in May. According to data released by the Union Ministry of Finance, gross GST collection in May stood at 2.01 lakh crore rupees, which is 16.4 percent higher in comparison to 1.72 lakh crore rupees collected in May 2024. In April 2025, India’s GST collections surged 12.6 percent to an all-time high of 2.37 lakh crore rupees.

यूक्रेन ने कल रूस के पांच हवाई ठिकानों – मरमंस्क, इरकुत्स्क, इवानोवो, रियाज़ान और अमूर पर जबरदस्त ड्रोन हमले किेये। रूस के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने इन हमलों की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा कि कई विमानों में आग लग गई, लेकिन किसी के हताहत होने की खबर नहीं है। रूस ने इन हमलों को आतंकी हमले करार देते हुए दावा किया है कि इवानोवो, रियाज़ान और अमूर पर ड्रोन हमलों को विफल कर दिया गया। हालांकि यूक्रेन ने कहा है कि 11 महीनों के इस अभियान में उसकी सुरक्षा सेवा एसबीयू ने परमाणु हथियार ले जाने में सक्षम टीयू-95 और टीयू-22 बमवर्षकों सहित लगभग 40 विमान नष्ट कर दिये। खबर है कि इनमें से एक हमले में इरकुत्स्क के श्रीदनी गांव में सैन्य इकाई को नष्ट कर दिया गया है। इसके अलावा बिलाया हवाई ठिकाने पर आग लगने की भी पुष्टि हुई है।

As we celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, the Nation salutes the valour of the Indian soldiers. As a tribute to the Armed Forces, Akashvani News is presenting a special series. Today we remember Param Vir Chakra awardee Company Havildar Major Piru Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice during the India-Pakistan war of 1947-48.
Born in 1918 in Rajasthan, Company Havildar Major Piru Singh was enrolled in 6 Rajputana Rifles in 1936.In July 1948, during an intense operation in the Tithwal Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Piru Singh’s company was assigned the task of securing a heavily fortified enemy ridge. Advancing along a narrow path under intense enemy fire, the unit suffered heavy casualties. With most of his section either killed or wounded, Company Havildar Major Piru Singh pressed on alone. Despite being wounded by grenade shrapnel, he bayoneted the crew of the enemy medium machine gun with his sten gun, and took the position. Bleeding and nearly blind, he continued his assault. After exhausting his ammunition, he hurled grenades and bayoneted enemy soldiers in successive trenches. Just as he moved to attack another post, a bullet struck him in the head. Even in his final moments, he managed to throw a grenade into the enemy trench. Company Havildar Major Piru Singh’s singularly brave act set a unique example of determined courage. In IPL Cricket, Punjab Kings stormed into the final defeating Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets in a Qualifier 2 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad last night. Chasing a victory target of 204 runs set by Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings made 207 for five with one over to spare. For Punjab Kings, skipper Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with an unbeaten 87 runs. Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted 203 for six in stipulated 20 overs. For Mumbai Indians, Tilak Verma and Surya Kumar Yadav were the top scorers with 44 runs each.
Shreyas Iyer was adjudged Player of the Match. The match was delayed due to rain.
With this victory, the Punjab Kings will be looking to win its maiden title in the competition’s history when they meet Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad tomorrow.

The State elementary education director – P.A.Naresh hsa said students of the State who are back to school after summer vacation from today will have a unique experience of digital intervention from the first standard itself.
He said that all primary schools are provided with smart boards and middle schools have hi- tech labs. With 1.85 lakh admissions in Class 1 in government schools this year, enrolment could exceed four lakh as most parents will enrol their wards in June.
The Government announced a new Thiran initiative from Classes 6 to 8. This will improve reading, learning and basic maths skills. School Education Director – S.Kannappan said that improving reading and writing skills of students from Class 6 to 8 in Tamil and English is a top priority,

The State Government has invited applications to empanel waste collection and recycling agencies. The Clean Tamilnadu Company limited under the special project implementation department is spearheading the initiative as part of its Clean Movement. The aim is to build an integrated, sustainable and decentralised waste management system across both rural and urban areas. The empanelment will cover agencies involved in collecting, processing and recycling of all types of solid waste.

Tamilnadu DGP – Shankar Jiwal has advised the public not to believe in rumours and misinformation that would affect peace and calm in the State. In his message to the public in a recent interview, he said citizens are encouraged to verify facts from reliable sources before forming opinion on any misinformation. On this issue of fake encounters, the DGP told, there have been zero instances of custodial torture reported since 2022 and the police had operated within the bounds of law and uses force only in self defense.

Bengaluru Municipal Corporation Chief Commissioner – Maheshwar Rao inspected the Krishnaraja Market along with senior officials. He directed the officials to ensure cleanliness in and around the main market area, including the surrounding roads. He issued instructions to use the high pressure jetting machines to remove garbage from the roads.
He observed, the waste generated within the market must be efficiently disposed of. He directed the marshals of the corporation and supervisors to ensure cleanliness at all times and clear garbage dumped indiscriminately. He urged for a need to conduct a survey of the traders operating within the market and initiate action against those encroaching upon additional spaces illegally. He advocated for a master plan to maintain proper spacing between shops.
He issued instructions to the traffic police station near the market to clear all the seized vehicles dumped around their station. He suggested that the abandoned vehicles that are parked for a long period in the parking lot should be identified and removed in coordination with the traffic police.

Telangana State Formation Day is being celebrated today. The National Flag will be hoisted at official programmes and government offices to mark the Formation Day. Telangana state was formed as 29th state in the country on this day in 2014 through Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will be hoisting the tricolour at an official event to be held at Secunderabad Parade Grounds later this morning.
Meanwhile, the state government has announced its annual ‘Pathakam’ (पतकम) awards to over 460 officers, recognising their exceptional service, bravery and commitment among police and fire services personnel. Among the most prestigious honours, the Telangana Police Shourya Pathakam, awarded for acts of valour, has been announced to Ch. Mahesh, G. Shobhan and A. Rakesh Kumar from the elite Greyhounds unit.
For highly distinguished service, the Telangana Police Mahonnatha Seva Pathakam will be conferred upon B. Srinivas Rao and others beside several other senior officers from various commissionerates and special units.
The medals, which also carry cash rewards, will be formally presented during the Formation Day celebrations later today.
Meanwhile, the state Government is expected to make a slew of major announcements on the occasion of Telangana state Formation Day, with a focus on employment, welfare and agriculture.

दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम-डीएमआरसी ने केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल-सीआईएसएफ के साथ मिलकर विशेष श्रेणी के यात्रियों के लिए सभी मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर प्राथमिकता तलाशी पहल शुरू की है। डीएमआरसी ने बताया कि इस पहल से दिव्यांगजनों, गर्भवती महिलाओं, वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और घायल व्यक्तियों को लाभ होगा। डीएमआरसी ने कहा कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य इन यात्रियों को एक सहज और परेशानी मुक्त यात्रा का अनुभव प्रदान करना है। इस सुविधा हेतु पात्रता के संबंध में किसी भी प्रकार का संदेह या विवाद की स्थिति में सुरक्षाकर्मी, यात्रियों की स्थिति को सत्यापित करने के लिए उनसे प्रासंगिक दस्तावेज़ दिखाने का अनुरोध कर सकते हैं। डीएमआरसी ने कहा कि तलाशी में प्राथमिकता जैसी पहल को लागू करने और ख़ास किस्म के यात्रियों को सहूलियत देने तथा आवश्यक दिशानिर्देश जारी करने के लिए सीआईएसएफ और सुरक्षाकर्मियों के साथ मिलकर काम किया जा रहा है।

महाराष्ट्र में रविवार को कोविड-19 के 65 मामले सामने आए, जिससे इस साल 1 जनवरी से अब तक राज्य में कुल मामलों की संख्या 814 हो गई है। इन 65 मामलों में पुणे से 31, मुंबई से 22, ठाणे से नौ, कोल्हापुर से दो और नागपुर से एक मामला शामिल है। राज्य में अब तक सक्रिय मामलों की संख्या 506 है, जबकि 300 लोग ठीक हो चुके हैं। साल की शुरुआत से अब तक आठ लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है, जिनमें से सात को अन्य बीमारियाँ भी थीं।

हिन्दी फ़िल्म अभिनेता, निर्माता व निर्देशक राज कपूर, भारत, मध्य-पूर्व, तत्कालीन सोवियत संघ और चीन में भी अत्यधिक लोकप्रिय हैं। राज कपूर को अभिनय विरासत में ही मिला था। इनके पिता पृथ्वीराज अपने समय के मशहूर रंगकर्मी और फ़िल्म अभिनेता हुए हैं। राज कपूर के पिता पृथ्वीराज कपूर ने अपने पृथ्वी थियेटर के जरिए पूरे देश का दौरा किया। राज कपूर भी उनके साथ जाते थे और रंगमंच पर काम भी करते थे। पृथ्वीराज कपूर और राज कपूर दोनों को दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जा चुका है। राज कपूर हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत् का वह नाम है, जो पिछले आठ दशकों से फ़िल्मी आकाश पर जगमगाता रहा और आने वाले कई दशकों तक भुलाया नहीं जा सकेगा।राज कपूर की फ़िल्मों की पहचान उनकी आँखों का भोलापन ही रहा है। राज कपूर ने 1947 में आर. के. फ़िल्म्स एंड स्टूडियो की स्थापना की थी। और अगर पुरुस्कारों की बात करें तो राज कपूर साहब को 9 बार फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार के अलावा पद्म भूषण और फिल्मों के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित पुरुस्कार दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया! आग,नीलकमल, आवारा,श्री 420,जिस देश में गंगा बहती है,जागते रहो,मेरा नाम जोकर,बॉबी,राम तेरी गंगा मैली आदि राज कपूर साहब की कुछ मुख्य फिल्मों के नाम हैं। फ़िलहाल सुनते हैं राज कपूर की फिल्म ____का ये गीत!

और आज ही जन्मदिन हैं भारत के प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशकों में से एक मणिरत्नम साहब का जिनका जन्म हुआ – 2 जून, 1955, मदुरई, तमिलनाडु में!। तो सबसे पहले तो उनको जन्मदिन की हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं! वे तमिल तथा हिन्दी दोनों भाषाओं के ख्यातिप्राप्त फ़िल्म निर्माता हैं। जिस तरह नए लोगों के लिए फिल्मों में काम करना एक बड़ा सपना होता है, उसी तरह एक स्थापित अभिनेता और अभिनेत्री का सपना होता है कि वह चोटी के निर्देशक के साथ काम करे ताकि उसके कॅरियर को और अधिक प्रोत्साहन मिल सके। मणिरत्नम भी एक ऐसे निर्देशक हैं, जिनकी फिल्मों में काम करके फिल्म कलाकार अपने आप को भाग्यशाली समझता है। वे एक ऐसे निर्देशक हैं, जिन्होंने अपनी उम्दा फिल्मों के चलते भारतीय फिल्म उद्योग को विश्व में पहचान दिलाई। फिल्में बनाने से पहले मणिरत्नम फिल्म सहायक के तौर पर भी काम कर चुके थे। फिल्म निर्देशक के रूप में उनकी पहली फिल्म कन्नड़ में ‘पल्लवी अनु पल्लवी’ थी, जिसमें अभिनेता अनिल कपूर और लक्ष्मी ने काम किया था। मणिरत्नम को अब तक (छ:), ‘राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार’ और (2002) में ‘पद्मश्री’ आदि पुरुस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया। और मणिरत्नम की मुख्य फिल्मों की बात करें तो ‘नायकम’, ‘गीतांजली’, ‘रोजा’, ‘बॉम्बे’, ‘साथिया’ तथा ‘युवा’ और ‘दिल से’, आदि।
