It will be the 122nd episode of the monthly radio programme. The programme will be broadcast across the entire Akashvani and Doordarshan network, the AIR News website, and the Newsonair mobile app. It will also be live-streamed on the YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, the PMO, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Akashvani will broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast.

Centre has approved 8.25 percent interest rate on Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) deposits for the financial year 2024-25. This will benefit over 7 crore salaried employees across India. This rate was recommended earlier this year by the Central Board of Trustees of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The approved rate remains unchanged from 2023-24 fiscal, while it was 8.15 percent in 2022-23. The EPFO has also made significant operational strides, achieving a record 2.16 crore auto-claims settlements as of March 6, 2025, in the current financial year – up from 89.52 lakh in 2023-24.

In IPL T-20 Cricket, Delhi Capitals ended their campaign on a high with a commanding six-wicket win over Punjab Kings in Jaipur last night. Chasing a stiff target of 208, Delhi Capitals crossed the winning mark in the final over with Sameer Rizvi’s maiden half-century, who was also adjudged Player of the Match. Today, hosts Gujarat Titans will face Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 03:30 PM, followed by another clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from 07:30 PM.
At last, the inaugural edition of Hockey India Masters Cup 2025 will be hosted by the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu in Chennai from 18th to 27th of next month. युवा कार्य और खेल मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने कहा है कि सरकार प्रत्येक वर्ष पूर्वोत्तर के आठ राज्यों में से किसी एक राज्य में खेलो इंडिया पूर्वोत्तर खेलों का आयोजन करेगी। नई दिल्ली में उभरते पूर्वोत्तर निवेशक सम्मेलन 2025 को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार कई पहल के माध्यम से इस क्षेत्र में खेल व्यवस्था मजबूत करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। वर्ष 2030 में राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों और 2036 में ओलंपिक खेलों के आयोजन को ध्यान में रखते हुए खेल मंत्री ने कहा कि वर्ष भर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं के आयोजन के लिए भारत समुचित स्थान है।

CHENNAI METRO
The 48th Yercaud summer festival began with a grand show and fruit and vegetable exhibitions at Anna Park in the hill station. The flower show features replicas of wildlife and notable landmarks in a bid to raise awareness on wildlife conservation. The highlight of the show is the replica of Mettur dam that is made of 73 thousand colourful roses. Other attractions inlcude replicas of elephants ,tigers, snakes , monkeys and deer that are artistically created with 50 thousand roses to promote wild life awareness. To attract children, cartoon characters are shaped with roses. Additionally, more than 30 thousand colourful flower pots are on display at Anna Park.

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में आयोजित नीति आयोग की गवर्निंग काउंसिल की बैठक में भाग लिया। बैठक के बाद मीडिया से बातचीत में मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि बैठक में दिल्ली से सम्बंधित कई विषयों पर सकारात्मक चर्चा हुई जिसमें हर घर नल से जल, यमुना की सफाई जैसे विषय प्रमुख रूप से शामिल थे।
वहीं पर्यटन के विषय पर एक प्रश्न का जवाब देते हुए श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में एक नया टूरिस्ट सर्किट बनाने का कार्य कर रही है ताकि दिल्ली में घूमने आने वाले सैलानियों को नयी नयी जगह घूमने को मिलें।
दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री रविंद्र इंद्राज सिंह ने कल शहर के दिलशाद गार्डन में सुगम्य सहायक योजना के तहत दिव्यांगों को ट्राई साइकिल, श्रवण यंत्र, वॉकर, ब्रेल किट, स्मार्ट फोन, स्मार्ट स्टिक और अन्य उपकरण वितरित किए।
संघ लोक सेवा आयोग आज दिल्ली सहित देश भर में सिविल सेवा की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा का आयोजन कर रहा है। इसके चलते दिल्ली मेट्रो ने परीक्षार्थियों की सुविधा के लिए पिंक, मजेंटा और ग्रे लाइन पर मेट्रो सेवाएं आज सुबह 6 बजे से शुरू कर दी है। हालांकि आमतौर पर रविवार को मेट्रो सेवाएं सुबह 7 बजे शुरू होती हैं।
दिल्ली का इंदिरा गांधी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा भारत का सबसे व्यस्त और सबसे ग्रीन हवाई अड्डा बन गया है। दिल्ली इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट लिमिटेड-डायल की ओर से जारी की गयी एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार दिल्ली हवाई अड्डा एशिया का एकमात्र एयरपोर्ट है, जिसे कार्बन उत्सर्जन कम करने में उच्च मान्यता-लेवल पांच, एयरपोर्ट कॉउन्सिल इंटरनेशनल से मिली है।

Bengaluru METRO
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot advocated community participation in disaster preparedness and response. He was speaking at the World Disaster Management Conference in Bengaluru yesterday. Saying that the community is the backbone in disaster management, the Governor stressed that trained persons at the local level are empowered to manage disaster and significantly reduce the impact of disaster. Apart from this, the Governor also advised that a Disaster Management Committee should be formed in every village with trained manpower and proper resources to deal with disaster. He added that every school should incorporate disaster management training with proper integration of disaster management with overall development policies.

Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya has proposed a 15 point agenda to address the growing infrastructure and mobility challenges in Bengaluru. In a statement the parliamentarian has proposed the formation of a Vision Group that can act as a think tank to chart out a long term future ready roadmap for the planned development of Bengaluru. He also suggested technology driven traffic management through smart signals, real time monitoring and AI based interventions.

सेंट्रल रेलवे ने छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज टर्मिनस (CSMT), मुंबई और हजूर साहिब नांदेड़ के बीच एक ग्रीष्मकालीन विशेष ट्रेन की घोषणा की है। 07060 नंबर की यह ट्रेन आज दोपहर 3:50 बजे CSMT से रवाना होगी और कल सुबह 6:30 बजे नांदेड़ पहुंचेगी। इस विशेष सेवा के लिए बुकिंग कल से शुरू हो गई है।

Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought his intervention and support in expediting approvals for key projects. Mr Reddy also sought financial assistance for projects including metro rail expansion, road and rail infrastructure, semiconductor manufacturing and defence sector growth.
An official release stated that the Chief Minister explained the necessity of expanding the Hyderabad Metro Rail, stating that Phase-I, covering 69 km across three corridors, was completed with an investment of over 22 thousand crore rupees. The state government has now submitted detailed proposals for Phase-II, which envisions five new corridors of over 76 km at an estimated cost of over 24 thousand crore rupees.
Mr Reddy also discussed the critical Regional Ring Road (RRR) project and requested financial and Cabinet approval for both the Northern and Southern sections simultaneously to avoid cost escalations.

आज बॉलीवुड के दिग्गज अभिनेता सुनील दत्त की भी पुण्यतिथि है। उनको गुजरे जमाना हो गया, लेकिन आज भी दर्शकों के दिलों में उनकी यादें ताजा हैं। मशहूर अभिनेता बनने के पहले सुनील दत्त रेडिया एनाउंसर थे। और उनकी इस लंबी यात्रा में बेहतरीन फिल्में यादगार गीत और समाज सेवा से जुडी कई कहानियां जुडी हुई हैं। सुनील दत्त का नाम बॉलीवुड के मशहूर सितारों में शामिल है, लेकिन उनके लिए यह सफर बिल्कुल भी आसान नहीं था। खुर्द झेलम में जन्मे सुनील दत्त का असली नाम बलराज दत्त था, लेकिन फिल्मों में आने से पहले उन्होंने अपना नाम बदल कर सुनील दत्त रख लिया था। फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में अपना नाम कमाने से पहले सुनील दत्त सीलोन रेडियो में काम करते थे। लोग उनकी आवाज के दीवाने हुआ करते थे।

He rose to prominence with the highly successful films: Ek Hi Raasta (1956) and Mother India (1957), and consistently starred in several top–grossing Indian films from the late-1950s to the 1970s, such as Sadhna, Sujata, Gumrah, Waqt, Khandan, Mera Saaya, Hamraaz, Milan, Mehrban, Padosan, Heera, Zakhmee, Nagin, Daaku Aur Jawan and Jaani Dushman.

इसके बाद लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल की जोड़ी ने मशहूर निर्माता-निर्देशक बाबू भाई मिस्त्री की क्लासिकल फ़िल्म ‘पारसमणि’ ने इनकी तक़दीर बदल कर रख दी। फिर पीछे मुड़कर देखने का मौक़ा ही नहीं मिला।
In their career span stretching from 1963 to 1998, they composed music for about 750 movies, working with several prominent film-makers.Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar was born on the day of Laxmi Pujan, Dipawali on 3 November 1937. Probably, because of the day of his birth, his parents named him Laxmikant, which is a name of Lord Vishnu, consort of Goddess Laxmi. His father died when he was a child. Because of the poor financial condition of the family he could not complete his academic education either. Laxmikant’s father’s friend, a musician himself, advised Laxmikant and his elder brother to learn music. Accordingly, Laxmikant learned to play the mandolin and his elder brother learned to play the tabla. He spent two years in the company of the well-known mandolin player Hussain Ali. He began organising and performing in Indian Classical instrumental music concerts to earn some money. Later, in the 1940s, he also learned mandolin from Bal Mukund Indorker and violin from Husnalal. Laxmikant began his film career as a child actor in the films Bhakt Pundalik (1949) and Aankhen (1950). He also acted in some Gujarati films.
