Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed the Cabinet decisions approving the inclusion of the Kosi Mechi Intra-State Link Project in Bihar under the PMKSY-AIBP and a four-lane Patna-Sasaram corridor project.
In a social media post, Mr Modi said, the Government is committed to the all-round development of Bihar. In this connection, the Kosi-Mechi Intra State Link Project has been approved under the Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme. He said while this will provide water for irrigation in a large area, it will also increase the income of farmer brothers and sisters.
In another post, the Prime Minister said that the 4-Lane greenfield and brownfield Patna-Arrah-Sasaram corridor is great news for the people of Bihar.He said it will encourage economic growth and reduce traffic congestion as well.
The Cabinet yesterday approved the inclusion of Bihar’s Kosi Mechi Intra-State Link Project under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana-Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme to enhance irrigation and flood management in the region.

Union Home Minister and Senior BJP leader- Amit Shah will visit Bihar today. During the two-day visit to the state, Mr. Shah will attend several programmes including a public meeting at Gopalganj and state level cooperative conclave in Patna.
Mr. Shah will hold a meeting with party leaders including Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other elected representatives in the evening. He will also hold a meeting with the State Core Committee of the BJP.
Tomorrow, he will inaugurate state level co-operative conclave in Patna. He will also dedicate and lay foundation of various development programmes and projects worth over 800 crore rupees.

India has sent nearly ’15 tonnes’ of relief material to Myanmar following yesterday’s earthquake, with an Indian Air Force ‘C-130J’ aircraft transporting the aid from Hindon air force station. The relief package includes essential supplies such as tents, sleeping bags, blankets, ready-to-eat meals and generator sets. Additionally, crucial medical supplies like paracetamol, antibiotics, syringes, gloves, and bandages are being dispatched to support those affected by the disaster.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed concern over the Earthquake which occurred in Myanmar and Thailand. In a social media post, He prayed for the safety and wellbeing of the citizens of both the countries. He added that India stands ready to offer all possible assistance and asked the External Affairs Ministry to remain in touch with the Governments of Myanmar and Thailand.
Replying to a query, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said they are in touch with authorities in Myanmar and looking at the exact requirements in terms of the assistance and relief materials. He said India has always been the first responder in the neighbourhood whenever these kinds of natural disasters have taken place.

These chambers spray a fine mist of water, drawing from nearby tanks almost 9 thousand liters of water is used every day. They operate between 11 am and 4 pm to provide relief to visitors. The facility has been expanded as part of the broader summer plan. Zoo authorities have also put measures in place to reduce heat stress for animals. Shade nets are fixed over the enclosures of large carnivore animals. Bird enclosures are covered with gunny bags which are sprayed with water regularly to keep their space cooler.

ISRO’s former Chairman- Dr S Somanath who is currently the Vikram Sarabhai distinguished Professor has said that the biggest challenges can be solved with the help of technology. He was addressing the 50th Convocation of IIMB in Bengaluru as the Chief Guest.
In his address, Dr S Somanath advised the students to be aware of the impact of technology on life and society. He spoke on how the emerging technologies will play a significant role. A robot may replace other devices translating commands to actions. In terms of power, water, healthcare, learning, resources, there would be no scarcity and poverty and famine may come down. The connectivity will increase with AI. The diagnostics equipment will advance and sensory perception of human beings will be enhanced. The carbon footprint will come down with green hydrogen initiatives and sun powered chemistry and biomedical interventions will improve living conditions. A total of 798 students from various programmes have graduated including 18 doctorate programmes and 80 post graduates.

The Telangana government will begin the distribution of free fine rice to ration card holders across the state from Ugadi, Telugu New Year Day, tomorrow. State Civil Supplies Minister- N. Uttam Kumar Reddy announced this last evening.
Addressing the media, he claimed the scheme as the largest of its kind in the country. Chief Minister- A. Revanth Reddy will be officially launching the scheme tomorrow at a public meeting in Huzurnagar. The Minister further said, every eligible beneficiary will receive six kg of fine rice per month through the Public Distribution System from 1st April. The scheme will be benefiting about ‘three crore 10 lakh people’ in the state which is nearly ’85 per ent’ of the state population.
The Minister further said, coarse rice was distributed till now which led to low consumption and widespread black marketing. He also said the state currently has around ’90 lakh’ ration cards, covering ‘2.85 crore’ people and the government plans to add ’30 lakh’ new cards after verifying pending applications, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to ‘three crore and ten lakhs’.

दिल्ली विधानसभा में कल दिल्ली परिवहन निगम -डीटीसी के कामकाज पर कैग रिपोर्ट पर चर्चा के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने पूर्ववर्ती आम आदमी सरकार पर डीटीसी का दुरूपयोग करने का आरोप लगाया। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि पिछली सरकार ने डीटीसी का दुरुपयोग और कुप्रबंधन करके इसे चौपट कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछली सरकार को बसें खरीदने के लिए केंद्र सरकार से 233 करोड़ रूपये मिले थे, लेकिन सरकार उन्हें खर्च ही नहीं कर पाई।

दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने एक फैसले में कहा कि रेस्तरां खाद्य बिलों पर अनिवार्य सेवा शुल्क नहीं लगा सकते। इसमें केंद्रीय उपभोक्ता संरक्षण प्राधिकरण के दिशा-निर्देशों को चुनौती दी गई थी, जिसमें ऐसे शुल्कों पर रोक लगाई गई थी। न्यायालय ने कहा कि अनिवार्य सेवा शुल्क, करों की तरह प्रतीत होकर उपभोक्ताओं को गुमराह करते हैं और अनुचित व्यापार व्यवहार के समान हैं।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने राज्य भर के लगभग 64 लाख किसानों को लाभ पहुँचाने के लिए बीमा मुआवजे में दो हजार पांच सौ 55 करोड़ के वितरण को मंज़ूरी दे दी है। कृषि मंत्री एडवोकेट माणिकराव कोकाटे ने घोषणा की कि यह राहत पैकेज सीधे किसानों के आधार से जुड़े बैंक खातों में जमा किया जाएगा। राज्य सरकार ने बीमा कंपनियों को बकाया दो हजार आठ सौ 52 करोड़ की लंबित सब्सिडी का भी भुगतान कर दिया है। बीमा कंपनियों को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे किसानों को समय पर लाभ पहुँचाने के लिए प्रक्रिया में तेज़ी लाएँ। इस निर्णय का उद्देश्य पूरे महाराष्ट्र में कृषक समुदाय को अत्यंत आवश्यक वित्तीय राहत प्रदान करना है।

Nils Frahm, a German pianist and composer, founded World Piano Day in the year 2015. His reason behind this was to have a global celebration of this wonderful instrument that has shaped his music and of others for centuries.

ये पंक्तियां हैं हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार और राष्ट्रकवि मैथिलीशरण गुप्त के छोटे भाई सियारामशरण गुप्त की। आज उनकी पुण्यतिथि है। उन पर गाँधीवाद का विशेष प्रभाव रहा है। इसलिये उनकी रचनाओं में करुणा, सत्य-अहिंसा की मार्मिक अभिव्यक्ति मिलती है। हिन्दी साहित्य में उन्हें एक कवि के रुप में विशेष ख्याति प्राप्त हुई लेकिन एक मूर्धन्य कथाकार के रूप में भी उन्होंने कथा साहित्य में भी अपना स्थान बनाया।
उनकी मुख्य रचनाएँ हैं- अनाथ, विषाद, दैनिकी नकुल, जय हिन्द, पाथेय और अन्तिम आकांक्षा आदि।
श्याम सुंदर कलानी (पुण्यतिथि)
आज श्याम सुंदर कलानी की पुण्यतिथि है। वे टेलीवीजन के अभिनेता थे। दूरदर्शन के प्रसिद्ध धारावाहिक ‘रामायण’ में उन्होंने सुग्रीव की भूमिका निभाई थी। इस एक भूमिका ने ही उन्हें पूरे भारत में पहचान दिला दिलायी।

आज जन्म हुआ था प्रसिद्ध कवि तथा गांधीवादी विचारक भवानी प्रसाद मिश्र का। भवानी प्रसाद मिश्र उन गिने चुने कवियों में थे जो कविता को ही अपना धर्म मानते थे और आम जनों की बात उनकी भाषा में ही रखते थे। उन्होंने कवियों को नसीहत भी दी,
जिस तरह हम बोलते हैं उस तरह तू लिख, और इसके बाद भी, हम से बड़ा तू दिख।
अज्ञेय ने दूसरे तार-सप्तक में उनकी कविता को प्रकाशित किया। उनका प्रथम संग्रह ‘गीत-फ़रोश’ अपनी नई शैली, नई उद्भावनाओं और नये पाठ-प्रवाह के कारण काफ़ी लोकप्रिय हुआ।
भवानीप्रसाद मिश्र का जन्म 29 मार्च 1914 में मध्य प्रदेश के होशंगाबाद ज़िले में टिगरिया गांव में हुआ था। उन्होंने संस्कृत, हिंदी और अंग्रेज़ी विषय से बीए की शिक्षा पूरी की। महात्मा गांधी के विचारों के अनुसार शिक्षा देने के विचार से एक स्कूल खोलकर अध्यापन कार्य शुरू किया और उस स्कूल को चलाते हुए 1942 में गिरफ्तार होकर 1945 में छूटे। इसके बाद अगले पांच साल उन्होंने वर्धा के महिलाश्रम में शिक्षा देते हुए बिताया।

आज प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता उत्पल दत्त की भी जयंती है। उन्होंने हिन्दी और बांग्ला फ़िल्मों में अपनी अमिट छाप छोड़ी। एक अभिनेता के रूप में उत्पल दत्त ने लगभग हर किरदार को निभाया। कभी पिता तो कभी चाचा, कहीं डॉक्टर तो कहीं सेठ, कभी बुरे तो अच्छे बने ‘उत्पल दा’ के अभिनय को कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता। उत्पल दत्त को अधिकतर एक हास्य अभिनेता के रूप में याद किया जाता है। वर्ष 1979 की सुपरहिट फ़िल्म ‘गोलमाल’ में उनके निभाए ‘भवानी शंकर’ का किरदार देखकर आज भी हंसी के फव्वारे छूट जाते हैं।

He received National Film Award for Best Actor in 1970 and three Filmfare Best Comedian Awards. recieved the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship for lifetime contribution to theatre.
उत्पल दत्त एक उच्च दर्जे के अभिनेता ही नहीं, एक कुशल निर्देशक और नाटककार भी थे। सीरियस से लेकर कॉमेडी तक के हर रोल को उन्होंने बड़ी संजीदगी से निभाया था।
1950 में मशहूर फ़िल्मकार मधु बोस ने उन्हें अपनी फ़िल्म ‘माइकल मधुसुधन’ में लीड रोल दिया, जिसे काफ़ी सराहा गया। इसके बाद उत्पल दत्त ने सत्यजीत रे की फ़िल्मों में भी काम किया। ‘गुड्डी’, ‘गोलमाल’, ‘नरम-गरम’, ‘रंग बिरंगी’ और ‘शौकीन’।
अमिताभ बच्चन और उत्तपल दत्त ने कई फिल्में एक साथ की हैं। मृणाल सेन की फिल्म भूवन शोम जिसमें उत्तपल दत्त मुख्य किरदार में थे। इसके अलावा सात हिंदुस्तानी, इमान धर्म, द ग्रेट गैंबलर और इंकलाब फिल्मों में भी उन्होंने अहम भूमिका निभाई।
