Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan inaugurated the 2nd edition of the annual Indian Military Heritage Festival in New Delhi yesterday. The two-day festival aims to engage global and Indian think tanks, corporations, government and private sectors, non-profits, and academics, focusing on India’s national security, foreign policy, and military heritage. General Chauhan also launched Project Shaurya Gatha, which aims to conserve and promote India’s military heritage through education and tourism. He also released key military publications, including Because of This: A History of the Indo-Pak Air War December 1971 by Air Marshal Vikram Singh (Retd), Valour and Honour, and War-Wounded, Disabled Soldiers and Cadets.

केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने कहा है कि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं और उनसे होने वाली मौतों को रोकने के लिए देश में सड़क निर्माण के दौरान सुरक्षा को उच्च प्राथमिकता दी जानी चाहिए। श्री गडकरी कल शाम छत्तीसगढ़ के रायपुर में भारतीय सड़क कांग्रेस के 83वें वार्षिक सम्मेलन के उद्घाटन सत्र को संबोधित कर रहे थे। श्री गडकरी ने कहा कि सड़क और ऑटोमोबाइल इंजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र में कमियों को दूर करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं, लेकिन विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट की खामी ने बड़ी समस्याएं उत्पन्न की हैं।

East Central Railway will operate 446 special trains in the next 15 days to manage the return rush of passengers after the end of Chhath Puja celebrations. These special trains are being operated to facilitate the return of passengers from Bihar to other places.
Mr. Chandra said that to manage the crowd at platforms, holding areas have been set up at several stations, including Patna, Danapur, Rajendra Nagar, Samastipur, and other major stations. He said this will help prevent overcrowding on platforms and avoid stampede-like situations. The CPRO added that besides the major stations of New Delhi and Anand Vihar in North India, the East Central Railway is operating a good number of trains for cities in Western and Southern India.

In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the winter season, Western Railway will run Winter Special Trains on Special Fare between Bandra – Gorakhpur – Valsad stations. The train comprises General Second Class Coaches. Train No. 09093 Bandra – Gorakhpur Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on 10th and 17th November at 6 am and reach Gorakhpur at 3:05 pm the next day. Similarly, Train No. 09094 Gorakhpur – Valsad Special will depart from Gorakhpur on 11th and 18th November at 6:05 pm.

The US Department of Justice has said that Federal Bureau of Investigations thwarted an Iranian plot to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump. It charged an Iranian national and arrested two American citizens for involvement in a plot to murder the Republican President-elect.
In a criminal complaint, the Department of Justice accused Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot. It charged 51-year old Farhad Shakeri, alleging he was tasked with providing a plan to kill the US president-elect. The department described Shakeri an IRGC asset residing in Tehran. It said he immigrated to the US as a child and was deported in 2008 after serving 14 years for robbery. The US government said that Shakeri has not been arrested and is believed to be in Iran.

CHENNAI-METRO–
Snake Bite is now a notifiable disease in Tamilnadu. A Government order has been issued to this effect. Snake bite envenomation is an acute life threatening medical condition and is a preventable public health condition often faced by rural populations in tropical and subtropical countries. A National action plan for prevention and control of snake bite envenoming launched by the Ministry of health and family welfare details the roadmap to have snake bite deaths by 2030 through one health approach.

BANGALORE-METRO –
The Food Safety and Quality Control department in Karnataka has conducted inspections of food joints and eatables to ensure health of the consumers in the state. The department raided student hostels to check the quality of the food served to the students there. It collected 1201 food samples and found that 65 samples tested till now were suitable for consumption. The department found out that the food sold by 31 outlets in Kodagu bordering Kerala state had artificial colours, alura red, Carmoisine, Tartrazine and Sunset Yellow. Several food packets seized here had no manufacturing date, expiry date and the details of the manufacturers. It also had no registration number issued by FSSAI. The Commissioner of the Food control department has shot off a letter to his counterpart in Kerala to take action against such food manufacturers in their state.

HYDERABAD-METRO-
The Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) has announced its 16th Poultry India Expo 2024, South Asia’s largest poultry industry event in Hyderabad. The expo will take place from 27th to 29th of this month at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, with a Knowledge Day technical seminar on 26th of this month. IPEMA president Uday Singh Bayas said this major event will feature over 400 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and expects around 40 thousand visitors, including poultry farmers, officials, industry leaders and international experts. He highlighted the significance of the poultry industry in India, appealing for government support to aid over a million poultry farmers.

भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार मेले-आईआईटीएफ के लिए दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम-डीएमआरसी और इंडिया ट्रेड प्रमोशन ऑर्गनाइजेशन-आईटीपीओ ने एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस समझौते के तहत, आगुंतक मेले के लिए दिल्ली मेट्रो और भारत मंडपम ऐप से क्यूआर कोड के माध्यम से टिकट बुक कर सकेंगे। यह मेला 14 से 27 नवम्बर तक भारत मंडपम में आयोजित किया जाएगा।

दिल्ली- ड्रोन-आधारित छिड़काव
दिल्ली सरकार ने राजधानी में वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए कल से ड्रोन-आधारित छिड़काव की शुरुआत की। पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय की मौजूदगी में शहर के प्रदूषण हॉटस्पॉट बने आनंद विहार में इसका परीक्षण किया गया। श्री राय ने कहा कि शहर में ड्रोन के माध्यम से पानी का छिड़काव किया जाएगा। श्री राय ने बताया कि जिन स्थानों पर एंटी-स्मॉग गन्स नहीं पहुंच सकते, वहां ड्रोन के जरिए पानी का छिड़काव किया जाएगा।

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने निर्माण श्रमिकों के पंजीकरण
बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने महाराष्ट्र सरकार के उस सर्कुलर को खारिज कर दिया है, जिसमें 20 नवंबर को होने वाले विधानसभा चुनावों के मद्देनजर आदर्श आचार संहिता का हवाला देते हुए निर्माण मजदूरों के पंजीकरण को निलंबित कर दिया गया था। जस्टिस सोमशेखर सुंदरसन और आरिफ डॉक्टर की अवकाश पीठ ने कहा कि आदर्श आचार संहिता में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है, जो निर्माण मजदूरों के पंजीकरण को निलंबित कर दे। ऐसा आचरण वैधानिक गतिविधि के संचालन में बाधा उत्पन्न करेगा।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार बंगाल को सेमीकंडक्टर विनिर्माण का केंद्र बनाने की योजना बना रही है। सरकार सेमीकंडक्टर निवेश पर एक मसौदा नीति प्रकाशित करेगी। इसके बाद सेमीकंडक्टर निवेश नीति प्रकाशित की जाएगी। हाल ही में कोलकाता में संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका द्वारा सेमीकंडक्टर में निवेश की घोषणा की गई है। अगले साल होने वाले बिजनेस कॉन्क्लेव बिस्वो बांगो वाणिज्य सम्मेलन के समय एक अमेरिकी टीम कोलकाता का दौरा करेगी।

9 नवंबर की ऐतिहासिक घटनाएँ-
9 नवंबर की तारीख इतिहास में उत्तराखंड के स्थापना दिवस के तौर पर दर्ज हैं। पृथक उत्तराखंड की मांग को लेकर कई वर्षों तक चले आंदोलन के बाद आखिरकार 9 नवंबर 2000 को उत्तराखण्ड को 27वें राज्य के रूप में भारत गणराज्य में शामिल किया गया। वर्ष 2000 से 2006 तक इसे उत्तरांचल के नाम से पुकारा जाता था, लेकिन जनवरी 2007 में स्थानीय लोगों की भावनाओं का सम्मान करते हुए इसका आधिकारिक नाम बदलकर उत्तराखण्ड कर दिया गया। उत्तर प्रदेश का हिस्सा रहे उत्तराखंड की सीमाएं उत्तर में तिब्बत और पूर्व में नेपाल से लगी हैं। पश्चिम में हिमाचल प्रदेश और दक्षिण में उत्तर प्रदेश इसकी सीमा से लगे राज्य हैं। हिन्दी और संस्कृत में उत्तराखण्ड का अर्थ उत्तरी क्षेत्र या भाग होता है। उत्तराखंड को देवभूमि के नाम से भी जाना जाता है क्योंकि कई प्राचीन धार्मिक स्थलों के साथ ही यह राज्य हिन्दू धर्म में सबसे पवित्र मानी जाने वाली देश की सबसे बड़ी नदियों गंगा और यमुना का उद्गम स्थल है।

1941 guitar player of the legendary swamp rock band the creedence clearwater revival or the CCR Tom Fogerty, was born this day … he would be 83years old had be been around… he was overshadowed by his younger brother, john forgerty who played guitar and sang lead for ccr but Tom Fogerty still holds a significant place in rock history. As the rhythm guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom played on plenty of rock classics and had a solo career before his death on Sept. 6, 1990.
