Akashvani invites citizens to participate in Signature Tune-Making Contest, Jingle-Making Contest

Akashvani, Prasar Bharati, in collaboration with MyGov, has invited citizens across the country to participate in a Signature Tune-Making Contest on the theme “Akashvani @90- The New Rhythm of Bharat”. The objective is to design iconic instrumental themes for specific Akashvani programmes that reflect their unique content and audience.
 
For Yuva-vani and Sports Scan, the Signature Tune should be High-energy and rhythmic. For Market Mantra, it should be Professional, tech-forward and sophisticated. For the Family Welfare and Women’s Programme, it should be melodious, warm and empowering.
 
For National Magazine, Sahitya, Sanskriti, Chitra, Vigyan, and Yuva Bharati, it should be culturally rooted, intellectual, and inspiring. The duration should be 20 to 40 Seconds. The audio composition must be instrumental only and no vocals or humming permitted. The format should be studio-quality MP3 or WAV, minimum 128kbps, 44.1 kHz. The judging criteria will be atmospheric suitability, instrumental excellence and versatility.
 
The 1st Prize is 30,000 rupees, the 2nd Prize is 20,000, and the 3rd Prize is 10,000 rupees. 10 Consolation Prizes of 5,000 each will also be given.
 
Akashvani Prasar Bharati, in collaboration with MyGov, has also invited citizens to participate in a Jingle-Making Contest on the theme “Akashvani @90- The Vibrant Voice of India”. The objective is to create fresh, catchy, and modern vocal jingles for Akashvani’s channels that resonate with today’s listeners while honouring the 90-year legacy. The target channels are FM Gold with a focus on Classic and Premium.
 
FM Rainbow with a focus on Vibrant and Youthful, and Vividh Bharati with a focus on Mass Appeal and Heritage. The duration will be 20 to 50 Seconds. The audio composition must include Vocals (Lyrics or Slogans) and a background musical arrangement. The format should be high-bitrate MP3 or WAV (minimum 128kbps, 44.1kHz).
 
The language should be Hindi or English. The judging criteria will be catchiness and recall, vocal clarity, and brand alignment. The entry must be uploaded to the MyGov portal along with a brief concept note of a maximum of 150 words. A participant may submit one entry per channel and a maximum of three in total. The 1st Prize is 20,000 rupees, 2nd Prize is 15,000, and 3rd Prize is 10,000 rupees. 10 Consolation Prizes of two thousand 500 rupees each will also be given.
