The “Yuva Sangam Phase-6 – Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” programme was inaugurated yesterday at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati in Yerpedu, Tirupati district, by District Collector Dr S. Venkateshwar. Speaking on the occasion, IIT Tirupati Director Prof. K. N. Satyanarayana said the programme provides an opportunity for students from different regions to interact and understand the country’s cultural diversity and heritage.
The 10-day programme, organised under the Union Ministry of Education, will continue till May 27. It aims to promote cultural exchange, intellectual development and national integration among students. Students from various colleges in Pune are participating in the programme. As part of the initiative, they will visit temples, historical sites and important developmental centres across Andhra Pradesh to learn about Indian culture, traditions and the State’s progress in different sectors. The participants will also visit Amaravati, Chandragiri Fort and industrial establishments in the State. They are scheduled to witness the rocket launch at Sriharikota on May 21.
