As part of the preparations for the upcoming 11th International Yoga Day, yoga practice programs are going on with full enthusiasm at various places in Devbhoomi as well as Yogabhoomi in Uttarakhand.
Akashvani correspondent reports that Preparations for International Yoga Day are in full swing in Uttarakhand. Under the program, yoga practice programs are being organised at various places in the state to make people aware of yoga and tell them the benefits of yoga. For the first time in the state, International Yoga Day will be celebrated at Anganwadi centres. For this, the state’s Women and Child Development Minister, Rekha Arya, has given necessary guidelines to the concerned officials. Along with this, yoga practice programs are being organised at major places in the state, including schools, colleges, universities, AYUSH centres, and temple complexes.
Under the campaign ‘Aao Hum Sab Yoga Karen’ by Soban Singh Jeena University, located in Almora district, which was the centre of yoga during the 38th National Games, yoga awareness camps are being organised at various places in the city. Dr. Lalan Singh, Co-Head of the Department of Yoga Science of the University, said that during yoga practice, people are being told about the importance of Veda Upanishad and various yoga asanas.
Meanwhile, women are participating enthusiastically in the mass yoga practice program organised under the Fit India Fit Uttarakhand Mission of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
