World Veterinary Day was observed today with the aim of raising public awareness about the importance of caring for animals and birds. The theme for this year is “Veterinarians: Guardians of Animal Health and Food Safety.”

To mark the occasion, a rally was organised this morning from in front of the Veterinary Council building near Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. The procession passed through various parts of the city, spreading awareness about animal welfare and the role of veterinary professionals.

Members of the Veterinary Doctors’ Association also actively participated in the rally.
