Minister of AYUSH Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav today said that the entire world is now understanding and adopting the scientific basis, utility, and vast potential of Ayurveda. The minister made these remarks during the inaugrual event of Shalyacon 2025 organised by the All-India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi. He underlined that Ministry of AYUSH is committed to the continuous development of Ayurveda and surgical practices, as well as to gaining global recognition for them.

Shalyacon 2025 is a three-day National Conference on Shalya Tantra. The event, which began yesterday, is being organized to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Sushruta Jayanti, honouring the legacy of the pioneer of surgery, Acharya Sushruta. The seminar features live surgical demonstrations including general surgeries, anorectal surgeries, and urosurgical cases. This conference aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, showcase clinical advancements, and explore emerging trends in Ayurvedic surgical practices.
