At the World Boxing Futures Cup, five Indian boxers assured themselves of podium finishes after a series of impressive quarterfinals wins today at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. India’s medal hopes were strengthened with victories from Gunjan in 48kg category, Joyshree Devi in 54kg category, Ambekar Meetei in 50kg category, Chandrika Pujari in 51kg category and Radhamani Longjam in 57kg category, all of whom advanced to the semifinals. Meanwhile, Sahil Duhan in 60kg category went down 1-4 to France’s David Harutyunyan in his last eight bout.
