Women’s Premier League Cricket: Mumbai Indians to take on Delhi Capitals at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara

In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Cricket, Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Capitals at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara this evening.

 

The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 in the evening. In the inaugural match of the third season of the WPL 2025 last night, reigning champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Gujarat Giants by six wickets at the same venue. Chasing a target of 202 runs, RCB overhauled the score for the loss of four wickets with nine balls to spare. Richa Ghosh starred for RCB with an unbeaten 64 off just 27 balls, while Ellyse Perry dazzled with a well-crafted 57 off 34 balls. Richa Ghosh was adjudged the Player of the Match.

 

 

Earlier, after being put into bat, Gujarat Giants posted a competitive total of 201 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Ashleigh Gardner led the charge with a blistering 79 off 37 balls, while Beth Mooney contributed a steady 56 off 42 balls.

 

 

The third season of the WPL features five teams: Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, and Mumbai Indians. The tournament will run until the 15th of next month, with the final scheduled to be held at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
