In hockey, India will kick of their Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025 campaign against Namibia in Santiago, Chile, today. The match is expected to start at 7:45 PM Indian Standard Time. For the first time in the tournament’s history, 24 teams will contest for the title. The teams have been split into six pools of four sides each.
India have been placed in Pool C with inaugural champions Germany, Ireland and Namibia. India’s only medal at this level came in 2013, when the team clinched a dramatic bronze medal. India have named an 18-member squad which will be led by skipper Jyoti Singh with Tushar Khandker serving as the chief coach.
