In Women’s Cricket, India crushed hosts Australia by nine wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the first Women’s T20 International of a three-match series in Sydney today.
Put into bat first, Australia were bowled out for 133 in 18 overs. In reply, India were 50 for 1 in 5.1 overs when rain stopped play, well ahead of the DLS par score of 29, and were declared winners. Earlier, Shafali Verma made 21 off 11 balls before falling to Sophie Molineux.
