In Women’s Cricket, India have set a target of 319 runs before hosts England in the series deciding third and final One Day International at Chester-le-Street.

Opting to bat first this evening, the Women in Blue scored 318 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For India, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was the highest scorer with impressive 102 runs off 84 balls while Jemimah Rodrigues made 50 runs off 45 balls.

The series is currently tied 1-1.

While India had won the first match at Southampton, England neutralised the lead by winning the rain-shortened second match at Lord’s by Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.
