The Winter Session of the Bihar Assembly began with the inaugural address by Speaker, Nand Kishore Yadav today. The five-day session of both the Houses will conclude on 29th November.

On the first day, today three newly elected members who got elected in recently held by-elections were administered oath by the Speaker.

Ashok Kumar Singh of BJP, Deepa Kumari of Hindustani Awam Morcha and Manorama Devi of JD(U) took the oath, the fourth MLA, Vishal Prashant of BJP will take oath tomorrow.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary tabled the Second supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25.

After marking the obituary remarks to the former members,  the Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
