The names of the voters who submitted documents other than those specified by the Election Commission during the Special Intensive Revision hearing process in West Bengal will be excluded from the final list.

 

The Commission has also prepared a separate list of concerned Election Officers who accepted such documents and uploaded them online. According to Commission sources, if evidence of negligence in duty or violation of rules is found against those officers, legal action will be taken.

 

As per the list published by the Election Commission, many voters summoned to the hearings submitted documents different from the prescribed ones. Already, the number of such voters has crossed several lakhs.
