The second supplementary list of names pending under adjudication in the special intensive revision process of the voter list in West Bengal is likely to be published tomorrow. So far, around 32 lakhs names have been settled, but only those finalized and signed by judicial officers will be included in this list, according to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of the state. The Commission has stated that the entire process is being conducted under the supervision of the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. Out of nearly 60 lakh names pending review, 32 lakhs have already been settled. Among these, about 40 percent names have been excluded, according to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer. Meanwhile, as per the apex court’s directives, preparations have begun to set up judicial tribunals to resolve claims and complaints of voters excluded from the list.
