In West Bengal, the Durgapur court today ordered police custody for seven days for the batchmate of the alleged gang rape victim, a medical student in Durgapur. Yesterday he was arrested by the police. Total six arrest have been made by the police so far in this case. Earlier five other accused were given police custody also by the court.

 

 

The victim, who hails from Odisha, is a second year MBBS student of a private medical college in Durgapur of Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. She was allegedly gang raped on the night of 10th October near the college campus. She was returning to the medical college after having dinner.
