In West Bengal, Kolkata and nearby districts have been experiencing incessant rain since early this morning. Several areas of the city are waterlogged due to the continuous downpour.

According to weather reports, districts of North Bengal — mainly Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Jalpaiguri — are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall today.

The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen along the West Bengal coast not to venture into the sea due to rough sea conditions.
