The death toll in the Nazirabad godown fire incident, which broke out on Monday, rose to 19 with many reported missing. The search operation for the debris is continuing. The mortal remains of the deceased person have been handed over to the relatives after a DNA test. An investigation has started to ascertain the cause of the fire. The forensic team collected evidence yesterday from the site.

 

Meanwhile, the court pronounced seven days’ police custody for the accused godown owner, Mr Gangadhar Das, today.
