In a letter addressed to the District Election Officers DEOs, the Chief Electoral Officer West Bengal, Manoj Kumar Agarwal made it clear that all the Enumeration Forms available with the Booth Level Officers BLOs at present are to be digitised by today. Forms collected from tomorrow onwards will have to be digitised on daily basis. Those forms which will not be handed over to the BLOs will be classified as ‘uncollectable’.
The CEO also said, booths which were marked as sensitive in the last election will be kept in focus for carrying out checks. Also, Electoral Registration Officers EROs have been instructed to verify the data of the dead persons from the Registrar General of Births and Deaths. Polling booths where uncollectable Enumeration Forms notified between 0 to 20 will be scrutinized thoroughly because of their unrealistic nature.
