The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh today. According to IMD, an orange alert has also been issued  for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttrakhand. Talking to Akashvani News, Senior IMD Scientist R K Jenamani has said that Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand are also likely to witness heavy rainfall.
