Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju today said the National Centre of Excellence for Audio Visual and Entertainment sector will provide impetus to the requirement of skilling in the sector. The Union Cabinet has approved the National Centre of Excellence recently. Speaking to the media after holding a meeting with film industry representatives and Audio Visual and Entertainment industry, Mr Jaju said the decision also helps the country to incubate future AVGC companies in the country. He exuded confidence that the share of the country in the global AVGC pie will increase many fold besides providing employment for many. He said the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit -WAVES-2025 will help local content go to the world.
