Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today attended the ongoing 146th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Sri Ramana Maharshi in New Delhi. Addressing the event, the Vice President said that Ramana Maharshi was one of the most revered spiritual sages of modern India, who occupies a distinguished place in the nation’s spiritual and civilisational heritage.

He added that Maharshi affirmed the unity of all spiritual paths, whether devotion, knowledge, meditation or selfless service, leading ultimately to the same Truth, and underscored that while God is one, the modes of worship may differ. He also released a commemorative coin issued by the government to mark the centenary of Sri Ramanasramam.
