Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan today inaugurated the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The two-day event is being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the Government of India and the Andhra Pradesh Government.
In his address, the Vice President said India is rapidly emerging as a prosperous nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He noted that India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy and is growing as a major startup hub. The Vice President said digital infrastructure and e-governance are delivering faster services and helping build a technology-driven economy.
Calling Andhra Pradesh one of India’s best investment destinations, he said both the Centre and the State are working in harmony and achieving strong results.
The Vice President praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership and urged global investors to seize the opportunity to invest in India and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the State has moved from “ease of doing business” to “speed of doing business,” offering real-time approvals and fast project execution. He outlined a 10-point strategy to boost national investment and said Andhra Pradesh is developing drone, electronics, aerospace, space, semiconductor, and defence corridors to attract investors.
Mr. Naidu said the State has secured USD 20 billion in investments in 17 months, creating 20 lakh jobs. Andhra Pradesh now targets USD 0.5 trillion in investments and 50 lakh jobs, with a long-term goal of USD 1 trillion in the next decade, he added.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, delivering the keynote address, said India is democratising technology and strengthening free trade through global agreements. He highlighted USD 30 billion in semiconductor projects and progress toward 500 GW of green energy.
Mr Goyal said the 2047 Swarnandhra Vision will boost Andhra Pradesh’s technological and economic growth, aligning with India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. He added that the Bihar election results reflect people’s continued trust in Prime Minister Modi.
Union Ministers K. Rammohan Naidu, Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, B. Srinivasa Varma, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, State Ministers and several other dignitaries were present.
