Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan today lauded the Government’s Gyan Bharatham Mission for preserving Jain manuscripts and praised the move to grant Classical Language status to Prakrit.

He said this while addressing the Eighth 180 Upvas Parna Ceremony of Acharya Hansratna Surishwarji Maharaj in New Delhi. The Vice president highlighted the profound contributions of Jainism to peace and global recognition. Mr Radhakrishnan also noted the historic influence of Jainism on Tamil literature and culture.
