Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has invited global industry leaders to attend the upcoming CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15, presenting the state as a key investment destination with abundant opportunities and industry-friendly policies. Addressing a roadshow in Dubai as part of his three-day visit to the UAE, Naidu said the Andhra Pradesh government has introduced 24 sector-specific policies to encourage investment and assured that all necessary approvals for setting up industries would be granted within 15 days. He outlined his vision to develop Andhra Pradesh into a global logistics hub by enhancing air, water, and road connectivity and reviving inland waterways.
Drawing inspiration from Dubai’s success in tourism, he noted that Andhra Pradesh has accorded industry status to the sector and is developing seven anchor hubs, 25 thematic circuits, and three national parks to promote tourism. Naidu announced that Visakhapatnam is rapidly transforming into a futuristic city and gave an example of Google’s commitment to establish its largest AI data centre there with an investment of USD 15 billion. Recalling his long association with Dubai, Naidu said he first visited the city in 1995 and has since admired its transformation and global vision. Highlighting India’s demographic advantage, Naidu expressed confidence that India will become the world’s leading economy by 2047. He said Andhra Pradesh is strategically positioned to contribute to that growth, with plans to establish one port every 50 kilometres along its 1,053-kilometre coastline. He also highlighted opportunities in artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, renewable energy, agri-tech, and food processing, asserting that Andhra Pradesh holds a first-mover advantage in several emerging sectors. The Chief Minister’s UAE delegation includes Investment Minister B.C. Janardhana Reddy, Industries Minister T.G. Bharath, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kartikeya Misra, Industries Secretary N. Yuvaraj, APEDB CEO C.M. Saikanth Varma, and Ratan Tata Innovation Hub CEO Dhatri Reddy.
