Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan begins across the country

 
 
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan in Uttar Pradesh today. He said that the main goal of the campaign is to take research from the lab to the land. He said this will spark a new revolution in the agriculture sector. The Chief Minister added that the work being done in research centers should be clearly visible on the ground. He stated that agriculture will play an important role in making India a developed nation.
In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan from Guniyal village in Dehradun. The Chief Minister said that three teams have been formed in each district for this campaign, which will organize programs at three places every day. He said that the Uttarakhand government is working with determination for the upliftment and prosperity of farmers in the state.
In Ladakh, the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan was launched with great enthusiasm by Krishi Vigyan Kendras, in collaboration with research institutes and line departments. The inaugural function of the Abhiyan in Leh district was held at KVK Nyoma, which was chosen by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as the launch venue due to its distinction as the highest Krishi Vigyan Kendra, situated at 14,000 feet above sea level.
Nagaland also joined the nationwide Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan. Advisor for Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, Mhathung Yanthan, inaugurated the state-level campaign in Kohima. Speaking at the event, the Advisor appreciated the initiative aimed at educating farmers on modern and sustainable agricultural technologies and practices.
In West Bengal, Krishi Vigyan Kendras from various districts are participating in the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan. Farmers are being trained in various farming-related activities including traditional farming, alternative farming, animal husbandry, and horticulture.
In Puducherry, Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan was inaugurated by Agriculture Minister C. Jayakumar. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Puducherry government has selected 6,100 farmers under the PM-KUSUM scheme to receive free solar panels for irrigation. He added that these solar panels will help farmers operate electric motors and supply surplus electricity to the government during non-cultivation periods, providing them with additional income. The Minister also distributed Soil Health Cards to farmers.
