Viksit Bharat: G RAM G Scheme to Boost Rural Development, Says Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

 
Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that under the Viksit Bharat: G RAM G Scheme, development works will be carried out in villages to realise the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. In an interview with DD News, Mr Chouhan said that the scheme increases the statutory wage employment guarantee from 100 days to 125 days per rural household. The Minister highlighted that the newly enacted Viksit Bharat: G RAM G Act provides a mandatory unemployment allowance if work is not provided within 15 days of application.
 
The Minister said that the total estimated annual requirement of funds on wage, material, and administrative components is over one lakh 51 thousand crore rupees, including the State share. Mr Chouhan said, of this, the Central share is over 95 thousand crore rupees.
