Vijay Diwas, marking India’s victory in the 1971 India-Pakistan War, was observed in Puducherry today. Lieutenant Governor K. Kailasanathan and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy paid floral tributes at the War Memorial on Beach Road. A two-minute silence was observed in honour of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
